Since 1981, Quality Lubrication has set the standard for top-notch drive-thru oil change and automotive service. We were recently voted #1 by Detroit City Search. Our dedicated and knowledgeable staff, professional service facility, and skilled workmanship are facets which have made Quality Lubrication the premiere quick oil change facility in the Oakland County area. We are not a franchise or chain-store operation, but rather an independent, family-owned-and-operated auto service facility dedicated to providing superior service and quality workmanship at reasonable prices. We remain one of the largest volume drive-thru oil change facilities in the United States.
Founder, Terry W. Braun
In 1981, Terry W. Braun purchased a rural piece of property on the corner of Walton and Squirrel Roads in Auburn Hills, Michigan. At the time, corn fields dotted the area, Squirrel Road was a quiet, single-lane dirt road, and our main intersection was a four-way stop! Things sure have changed.
With a degree in mechanical engineering, a strong work ethic, and a new approach to vehicle oil change service, Braun founded Quality Lubrication & Oil Change Centers, Inc., one of Michigan's first drive-thru "10 minute" oil changes. With a lot of hard work and dedication, the old building on the property - a former car wash - was revamped into a bright, clean oil change facility with a new concept: an underground "pit" design that would eliminate the need for a hoist. Oil changes could be faster, easier, and hassle-free for the customer who simply drives in and out! Some said the idea was crazy and would never work, while others laughed at the idea. Little did they know that Braun's venture would grow to become one of the largest volume drive-thru oil changes in the United States.
More than 28 years have passed since Quality Lubrication first opened its doors along the then-rural Walton Boulevard. The farm lands have given way to a prominent landscape, one of the fastest growing commercial regions in the United States. Quality Lubrication has found itself centered amongst this bustling "Golden Triangle" of Oakland County, Michigan.
Now in our second generation of family operation, Quality Lubrication continues to provide customers with a pleasant auto service experience they can trust for many years to come. We are dedicated to providing professional, courteous, quality auto service with no exceptions!
